Are you connected to your womb?

20-May-2020 Are you connected to your womb?

Two years ago I was suffering with excruciating pain during my 28 day cycle. The pain was so bad that I could not stand up to get out of bed for hours, says Hazel Cake, complementary therapist.

My cycle was also all over the place, from 45 to even 55 days. I had no idea what was going on with my body and my hormones. After seeing the doctors, I discovered I was suffering ovulation pain and was assured that this is normal pain. In that moment I wished that I was talking to a female doctor! Normal pain - I had to laugh in order not to cry! It really felt like something the size of an acorn was being dragged down my fallopian tubes every month! It certainly didn't feel like ordinary pain to me! I am sure there are many women out there who will agree with me.

For the whole of my life since my periods started, I had been very lucky and only had the odd headache and minor cramps. Now, in my late 30s, suddenly something within my body had changed and it was agonising, leaving me stressed and very tired. As a complementary therapist, I am more prone to searching for help to get to the root of the problem to heal it, rather than to take medication. This is just my personal preference. The doctors had advised me to monitor it and, should it continue, to come back for tests.

About a week later a friend told me about a retreat in Glastonbury run by Rebecca Wilson, the founder of Womb Connection Healing & Awakening. I read the info about the weekend retreat and the words womb blessing jumped out at me. I felt strongly that this was going to be the thing to help me with the issues I was having.

As result of my journey, after my first womb blessing in July 2019, my cycle went back to normal and the pain I was having completely cleared. No longer was my cycle bouncing around from 45 days to 55, leaving me not knowing when my period would be, with sleepless nights and the stress of not knowing what was happening with my body. I was back to feeling amazing, a normal 28-day cycle plus I had a new zest for life. I have learnt so much about our wombs and just how important they are. Spending so much time awakening to my womb, my health and connection to it have helped me in so many ways.

Are you connected to your womb?

A year later and I have since been to three more retreats, deepening my journey with the womb. The last one was in Costa Rica on a Wild Woman Journey, which was deeply empowering. I am now ready and able to share this Rite of the Womb, so that any woman who is suffering can clear the trauma of their womb and really reconnect to their body.

What is the 'Rite of the womb'?

There is a lineage of women who freed themselves from suffering. This lineage wants us to remember the womb is not a place to store fear and pain. The womb is to create and give birth to life.

When a woman receives this Rite, she heals any pain she is holding from her female lineage. It clears it from her womb and through the lineages. It heals the woman who experienced sexual abuse, any demeaning of the feminine power. Also, women who no longer have a physical womb, by receiving the Rite, that centre of their womanhood will be healed. Women who have had difficult pregnancies, miscarriages, abortions, receiving this Rite will cleanse and heal you.

Your Womb is your sacred source space. She is the very embodiment of your feminine essence and power. It is from a deep connection to this space that you fully embody the sacred light that lives within you, a deep sense of knowing and clarity that comes from true presence with yourself and within each moment you experience life.

A woman who is deeply connected to her womb space doesn't seek answers from outside, as she knows herself, her truth and the wisdom that rises from within her own being. Womb connection supports you to release fear and other emotions from the heart and womb space, creating inner connection, clarity and love in your body.

I feel it is so important to share this womb blessing with as many women as possible to help them reconnect to their womb, especially with women who are in the menopause or women who no longer have a womb. For me, not only did this heal my issue within my womb, but for the first time I felt truly feminine. This is something I had not even noticed I had lost connection with. I have experienced and seen just how much it can really help, by clearing all trauma from the womb. There are so many benefits, here are just a few to give you an idea:

  • Healing and wakening
  • Womb healing from past trauma
  • Connection to feminine flow
  • Balanced womb energy
  • Clear decision making
  • Clear boundaries, energetically, emotionally physically, sexually, spiritually
  • Clearing old energy from past lovers
  • Supports menstrual health
  • Attract health relationships
  • Increased libido
  • Awakened sexual energy
  • Zest for life
  • Supports creativity and fertility
